Lions Club of Bridgend

Book Fair

The largest Charity Book fair in Wales is usually held in Bridgend over 3 days in March/April of each year.

Due to lockdown the event in March 2020 had to be canceled, but we can now hold a Book Fair on the 29th and 30th October 2021

The event is open between 9am and 4pm each day at Westward Community Centre, Llangewydd Road, Bryntirion, Bridgend (opposite the chip shop).

We will be complying with relevant Covid regulations and our arrangements will be assessed by the local authority. Please wear a face covering at all times whilst at the event.

For a location map please use this link: Location of Westward Community Centre or use postcode CF31 4JR in your Satnav. Buses also run from Bridgend Bus Station - catch the Cefn Glas circular bus.

Some of the books for sale

There will be literally thousands of books covering all kinds of fiction, non-fiction and children's categories. All books are in good condition and very competitively priced. This event started in 1994 when a profit of nearly £1,000 was raised over the three days. Both the numbers attending and quantity of Books have increased steadily over the intervening years until in recent years over 25,000 books have been available for sale generating a massive £200,000 since 1994 for good causes.

The club maintain a mailing list of regular attendees, which include both members of the public and book dealers. To subscribe simply click here. (For the purposes of the Data Protection Act, your details will not be passed on to third parties and will be used solely for the purposes of the Lions Club).
