Membership

Lions are ordinary people who do extraordinary things to help others and support good causes throughout the British Isles. Globally we have more volunteers in more places than any other service club organisation, and love to step forward to volunteer, help others and make things happen.

Wherever you live, work or travel across the British Isles, you are likely to come across members of Lions Clubs and the projects we support.

If you are interested in finding out more about the Lions Club of Bridgend, keep reading below or use the Contact page to get in touch straight away!

New members welcome

We welcome diverse personalities who are community spirited and interested in helping others, meeting new people and having fun. New members bring a valuable infusion of innovative new ideas and fresh perspectives on established events.

If you’re interested in helping your local community, volunteering, fund-raising, organising projects, using your talents, gaining new skills, making friends and having fun – you can do all of this and more as a Lions Club member. We’d love you to join us!

Why should I join?

Joining Lions Club International is your opportunity to make a lasting impact in your community and around the world. As a volunteer with Lions, you’ll be part of a global network of individuals dedicated to service, compassion, and positive change. Whether you want to support local causes, provide aid during disasters, or work towards eradicating blindness, Lions offers diverse opportunities for you to give back and grow as a person. Join us in our mission to empower volunteers and transform lives – together, we can create a brighter future for all. Become a Lion today, and let your kindness roar!

“It is a cliché, but you will get out of it what you put in! Lions has been described as a constructive form of relaxation.”

“Working together on fund raising and community welfare events is enormous fun.”

“The satisfaction of seeing an event through from planning and organisation to successful conclusion can be tremendous.”

“Receiving the thanks of the recipients of your help, whether financial or practical, lifts your spirit.”

Lions membership also provides a wonderful opportunity to forge lasting friendships and build a strong social network with like-minded individuals who share your passion for making a difference in the world. It’s a rewarding way to connect with people, create meaningful bonds, and grow personally while contributing to a greater cause.

You have nothing to lose – but a lot to gain.
