Please read our FAQs below before booking.

Please note that on-line bookings will not be possible after 6 pm on the Friday before the event. You may still be able to book in person on the day at the Grotto subject to spaces being available.

Frequently asked Questions

How can I book to see Santa?

There are two ways to book.

  • Book online by using the link above. You can book at any time up until 6pm on the Friday before the day you wish to visit.
  • Book in person at the Grotto on any Saturday that the Grotto is open. You can book for that day (subject to availability) or any of the following Saturdays

The Grotto has been very busy in the past and online booking is highly recommended to avoid disappointment.

Payment can be made at the Grotto by cash or by debit or credit card (chip and pin and contactless).

Can I book Online for the same day?

No, you can only book on-line up until 6pm on the Friday before. If you wish to book on the day you will have to attend in person at the Grotto and this will be subject to availablility.

Can I just turn up without a booking?

Yes, if we have spaces available we will be pleased to book you in to see Santa. The Grotto has been very busy in the past though and booking is highly recommended to avoid disappointment.

How much does it cost to see Santa?

The cost per child is £8 if booking in person at the Grotto or £8 plus a 80p booking fee if you book online. Booking online will however guarantee your place.

Can I reserve a particular time?

Tickets are sold for 20 minute time slots, with a maximum online booking of 6 children per time slot. Children will be seen individually or as a family.

What time should I turn up?

You should try and arrive 5 minutes before your allotted time slot. 

Please note that for health & safety reasons we are limited to a maximum of 50 persons in the room at any one time, including helpers.

Can I Cancel a Booking?

No, bookings are non-refundable, but you can re-arrange a booking – see below.

What if I need to re-arrange a Booking?

Whether you have booked online or in advance at the Grotto, you will need to e-mail Bridgend Lions at [email protected] or telephone or text us on 07753 681 811 and we will do our best to re-arrange.

Please do not ring Bridgend Town Council or Carnegie House as they do not have access to the booking systems.

Can I reserve a space by telephone?

No, you can only book online or in-person at the Grotto, during Grotto opening days/times.

Where is Santa’s Grotto?

Santa’s Grotto can be found at Carnegie House, Wyndham Street, Bridgend CF31 1EF (the old library).

Can I accompany my child into the Grotto?

Yes, children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Can I take photos?

Yes, please feel free to take your own photos for which there is no charge.

Will you take photos which I can purchase?

No, we will not take photos ourselves, so please remember to bring your camera or phone.

Will my child receive a gift?

Yes, all children can choose a quality gift.

Can I bring a pushchair into the Grotto?

There will be a place to leave your pushchair in Carnegie House, but there will not be room to actually take it into the Grotto.

Will the Grotto be open on the 23rd December?

No, the last Saturday will be the 16th December as Santa will be extremely busy on the days just before Christmas.
